BMW Digital Key Plus is now available for all Android devices, a feature that was previously exclusive to Google’s Pixel phones.
The new feature allows users to lock, unlock, and start their BMW without taking their phone out of their pocket. Digital Key Plus uses the phone’s ultra-wideband chip to communicate with the car, providing precise location tracking with the highest possible security.
To use this feature, you need a phone with a UWB chip. BMW listed the following phones in their press release: Galaxy S23+, S23 Ultra, S22+, S22 Ultra, S21+, S21 Ultra, Z Fold4, Z Fold3, Note20 Ultra, Pixel 7 Pro och Pixel 6 Pro.
