Twitter has announced that it is now possible to send even longer tweets for users who have a Twitter Blue paid account. As of today, Twitter Blue users can send a tweet containing up to 10,000 characters.

When Twitter launched its service almost 17 years ago, the maximum length of a tweet was 140 characters. This was expanded to 280 characters in 2017. However, after Elon Musk took over the service, he wanted to give users the ability to write longer tweets. Earlier this year, it became possible for Twitter Blue users to send tweets up to 4,000 characters. This limit is now extended by another 6,000 characters, which may be fun for those who like to express themselves in longer form.

Twitter’s subscription service Twitter Blue was launched last year and costs $8 per month.
