Starfield is out, and it’s receiving high praise from critics. During its early access release, it attracted a significant number of players, and when the game officially launched this week, it led to over a million simultaneous players, according to Phil Spencer.
But not all players are online at the same time, so how many have played it in total? Bethesda happily announced on Twitter that over six million players have now played it. This, of course, doesn’t translate directly to six million copies sold, as a significant portion of the player base likely accessed it through Game Pass, where it’s available on both PC and Xbox.
These are impressive numbers nonetheless, and according to Bethesda, Starfield is their biggest game release ever.
