HBO Max has released a first teaser for its upcoming DC Comics series, The Penguin, in which Colin Farrell plays the role of Oswald “Penguin” Cobblepot.
In the series, we will follow Cobblepot as he goes from being an anonymous petty criminal to becoming one of the leading villains in Gotham City. The series can probably be seen as a spinoff from the 2022 movie, The Batman, in which Robert Pattinson played the lead role of Bruce Wayne/Batman, and Farrell played Cobblepot/The Penguin.
The Penguin will be broadcast in eight episodes next year on Warner Bros Discovery’s new Max service, which is the result of a merger of the two streaming services HBO Max and Discovery+.
