John Krasinski has assembled a star-studded cast with Reynolds at the forefront and follows up “A Quiet Place” with an imaginative family film.
John Krasinski became a director to watch with the horror film “A Quiet Place,” and now he’s coming out with his next (and more child-friendly) project: “IF: Imaginary Friends,” a family film where people’s imaginary friends from childhood turn out to be real.
The eternally charming Ryan Reynolds stars, and Steve Carrell lends his voice to his large purple imaginary friend. Other roles feature and include the voices of Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Cailee Fleming, Fiona Shaw, Sam Rockwell, Awkwafina, and the director himself.
Ryan Reynolds, who always knows how to sell a film, describes “IF” like this:
“Get ready for a heart-warming, all-family film from the director of A Quiet Place, the star of Deadpool, and the studio that brought you Annihilation”
“IF: Imaginary Friends” looks to be a grand adventure for the whole family, and the trailer offers a glimpse of a variety of different and amusing imaginary friends. The premiere is set for May 17, 2024.
