Spaceman is an upcoming film starring Adam Sandler in the lead role. In it, he plays Jakub Procházka, a Czech astronaut who grew up in the countryside with his grandparents. Somehow, he becomes an astronaut, but while in space, he realizes that the marriage he left might not be there when he returns to Earth. He wants to save his marriage to his wife and receives unexpected help from a mysterious creature he finds on his spaceship.
Does it sound vague? It certainly seems to be. Johan Renck has directed it and that’s a bit promising for the vagueness to become interesting. In addition to Adam Sandler, we see Carey Mulligan as his wife and other roles include Isabella Rossellini and Kunal Nayyar.
Premieres March 1, 2024, on Netflix.
