Platformer has been in contact with sources who claim that Twitter is no longer paying for the services it has purchased from Google Cloud.

Twitter is reportedly no longer paying bills to Google

According to Platformer, Twitter has also stopped paying Amazon for the services it has acquired from them. While Twitter hosts a significant portion of its service itself, some storage and tools are used for external storage with both Google and Amazon.

Twitter is also said to have begun a migration to move data from Google to its own infrastructure, but this process has been delayed. This could potentially impact Twitter’s ability to moderate its service against harmful content, as stated by Platformer.

Since Elon Musk acquired Twitter last year, he has been working to reduce the company’s costs. This has led to Twitter ceasing to pay rent for its headquarters in San Francisco earlier this year, which resulted in the landlord suing Twitter for non-payment. Neither Twitter, Google, nor Amazon have commented on whether Twitter has stopped paying for the services it has purchased from Google and Amazon.
