Google Now Launcher, which was launched with Nexus 5 and released for all Android phones in early 2014, will stop working in April. This is unlikely to affect many users, as most now use some other so-called “launcher”, and Google stopped supporting the app six years ago. But it is only now that it actually stops working for real.
Google instructs users to find another home screen app if they are using Google Now Launcher, and it is unclear what will happen to phones where it was the default.
