Now we have our fourth look at the upcoming HBO series “The Idol”, where we get to see Abel Makkonen Tesfaye (The Weeknd) playing cult leader Tedros, who enters into a complicated relationship with pop star Jocelyn (played by Lily-Rose Depp).
“The Idol” premieres on HBO Max (or just Max as it will soon be called in the US) on June 4th. The series is created by Reza Fahim, The Weeknd, and Sam Levinson, who also created the popular series “Euphoria”.
