Sharp recently unveiled two new larger-sized speakers. The first one is the SumoBox, designed to deliver up to 105 dB of clear sound, thanks to its 120W RMS stereo speaker system consisting of 2 x 8-inch woofers and 2 x 2-inch tweeters. Sharp collaborated with the French audio brand Devialet to develop this speaker, utilizing Devialet’s SAM technology, which aims to provide a fuller, more detailed, and powerful bass without audible distortion.
The speaker can be connected via three input channels (TRS/XLR combo (2x)), with separate bass and treble adjustments, as well as Aux/Bluetooth options. Each channel has an independent level control, allowing users to jam with different instruments simultaneously. The SumoBox can also be wirelessly daisy-chained with other SumoBoxes if you want to ramp up the party even more. The speaker is powered by a removable lithium-ion battery, providing up to ten hours of playtime. The battery is also replaceable, allowing users to have a spare one ready if they don’t want the party to end.
The second model they introduced is the XParty Street Beat, a more dedicated speaker for those who simply want some disco vibes on the beach or elsewhere. This portable and splash-proof speaker offers up to twelve hours of playtime, which should be ample for summer nights. As a dedicated party speaker, it naturally features multi-colored disco lights and strobe effects pulsating to the music.
