JBL has unveiled three new multiroom speakers at the IFA trade show in Berlin. These speakers belong to their Authentics series and are touted by JBL as the first ‘smart’ speakers to support both Amazon’s Alexa and Google Assistant.

The largest version is called Authentics 500, offering 3.1 sound with 270 watts of power. It’s designed for stationary use, much like its smaller sibling, Authentics 200. Additionally, JBL is releasing the portable version, Authentics 300, equipped with a battery that lasts for up to eight hours of music playback.

The speakers are controlled via the JBL One app and support WiFi, Ethernet, and Bluetooth connectivity. They feature an automatic self-adjustment function that calibrates and adapts the sound performance based on the speaker’s placement in the room. Authentics 500 also supports Dolby Atmos. JBL’s new Authentics speakers will be available on September 15th.
