For those who have ever felt that it can be difficult to hear what characters are saying in TV shows and movies, tvOS 17, which will be released later this year, will introduce a new feature designed to make it easier to hear dialogue—provided you are using Apple’s HomePod for audio.
The feature will only work with the new full-size HomePod and not the first generation or HomePod mini. tvOS already has a feature to reduce loud sounds, which works regardless of the speaker being used.
