Spotify has now provided more details about its latest quarter, and it looks good. They now have a total of 551 million active users, of which 220 million are premium users. This is an increase of 27% and 17%, respectively, compared to one year ago.
There are 343 million users who use the service with ads, up by 34%. It is evident from the results that it is easier to acquire regular users than premium users. Premium users generate 2,773 million euros in revenue, while ad-supported users only bring in 404 million euros.
The final result ended in a loss of 112 million euros. Both the number of users and the results exceeded expectations.
