Global Smartphone deliveries dropped by 18,3 percent compared to the same period 2021. That is a drop to 300,3 million devices during the fourth quarter of 2022. This is according to preliminary numbers from IDC:s Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker.

This is the largest drop in smartphone sales ever in one quarter and resulted in a massive drop for the whole year to 11,3 percent. In total 1,21 billion devices were delivered in 2022 which is the lowest delivery since 2013. The main reason for this is the current economic situation in the world and less demand across the world.
