One of the titles I’m looking forward to the most during the gaming year of 2024 is Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl. Last week, we got a trailer that focused on the returning character Strider, and with it, it was also confirmed that the game will be released sometime during the first quarter of 2024.

Now, we have received some more information about the game via an interview in Chinese Gamersky with Evgeniy Grygorovych, Maria Grygorovych, and Vlad Novikov. They mentioned, among other things, that the story is non-linear and has loads of content, so much so that it’s impossible to experience everything in just one playthrough. Playing through the main story will take around 40 hours, which will lead to one of four different endings.

The interviewer pointed out that it was quite difficult to kill enemies in the demo the person tested, and the developers responded that one needs to use different tactics to tackle different situations. Sniping from a distance can be used to thin out visible enemies, while sneaking allows one to eliminate unsuspecting targets with knife stabs.

Finally, they confirmed that the Xbox Series X version will have two modes: “performance” and “quality”, aiming for 60 fps for the former.
