During yesterday’s PlayStation Showcase, Sony showcased something called “Project Q,” a handheld gaming console that will be released sometime later this year.
With the console, it will be possible to play games installed on your PlayStation 5 via Remote Play. Project Q features an 8-inch LCD screen capable of running games at 1080p with a 60fps refresh rate via Wi-Fi.
Similar to the PS5’s DualSense controllers, Project Q’s controllers will have haptic feedback and other functionalities found in the DualSense. The battery life of the handheld console is currently unknown.
Exact details regarding the release date, official name of the console, and pricing for Project Q have not been disclosed at this time.
