The first update for Baldur’s Gate 3 has been released. It’s a hefty beast that tackles over 1,000 bugs and other issues, says Larian on X (formerly Twitter).
The changelog contains more characters than Steam’s update section can handle, so interested players (who don’t fear spoilers, as there are warnings for those) should head over here. But notable mentions include fixes for objects floating in the air, characters hearing/seeing things they shouldn’t, visual glitches, and more.
It won’t be long before the next patch, number two in line, is released. It will bring “significant performance improvements,” say the developers. Despite the evident issues with the game upon release, it has charmed both buyers and critics. 96 percent of Steam purchasers have given a positive review, and it’s averaging a high 96 out of 100 on Metacritic.
Baldur’s Gate 3 has only been released for PC so far. But on September 6th, it’s coming to PS5, and later this year, it will also be available on Xbox Series (though without split-screen on Series S).
