The film will be released on March 1, 2024. In the fall of 2022, Pixar introduced their new animated adventure film Elio for the first time. Today, the teaser trailer makes its debut, and this charming film will hit screens worldwide in the spring of 2024.
Elio is an 11-year-old boy who feels like he doesn’t fit in anywhere. But when he encounters extraterrestrials, he becomes an ambassador for planet Earth. Meanwhile, his mother, Olga, works on a top-secret project to decode messages from outer space.
The voice of Elio is performed by young Yonas Kibreab, who has previously appeared in series such as Sweet Tooth and Obi-Wan Kenobi. His mother is played by America Ferrera from Ugly Betty. Director Adrian Molina previously worked on Pixar’s heartwarming film Coco.
Three new Pixar films within a year
Did you know that Pixar has not one, but three new films coming out in the next year? That’s right! First up is Elemental, which premieres in the USA this week. On March 1, 2024, Elio will be released, followed by a sequel to Inside Out next summer. It will have its U.S. premiere on June 14, 2024.
