Full throttle as George Miller returns to the dystopian world, now starring Anya Taylor-Joy.
Miller’s “Mad Max: Fury Road” became the big surprise of 2015 and one of the decade’s best action movies. With the pedal to the metal from start to finish, the Australian director showed how to create genuine popcorn entertainment and a visual masterpiece in one.
There we were introduced to the character Furiosa, played by Charlize Theron. Now it’s time for her, and Tom Hardy’s Mad Max, to step aside. The prequel film “Furiosa” puts Anya Taylor-Joy in the lead role, and we will also see Chris Hemsworth in a major role (and with a big beard).
