The movies based on the Percy Jackson books were not exactly great, nor were they particularly faithful to the books, for that matter. As we have previously reported, Disney+ is making a new attempt to do justice to Rick Riordan’s popular book series with the TV series “Percy Jackson and the Olympians.”
Now, this series has received a premiere date, which is December 20th. In the lead role, we have Walker Scobell (the boy from “The Adam Project”), and he is joined by stars like Lin-Manuel Miranda, Megan Mullally, Toby Stephens, Jay Duplass, and Lance Reddick, who plays Zeus.
