The film year 2024 looks to start off really well. A trailer for the upcoming space movie “I.S.S.” has just been released, and here we get a hint of what a new world war would look like for a group of astronauts aboard the space station I.S.S.
Just from the trailer, we can expect “I.S.S.” to be a breathtaking thriller. Scenes accompanied by the cool 90s hit “Winds of Change” from Scorpions, roughly show how the astronauts and cosmonauts feel when they suddenly get called into the war.
The official synopsis reads: “Tensions flare in the near future aboard the International Space Station as a worldwide conflict breaks out on Earth. Reeling from this, the astronauts receive orders from the ground: take control of the station by any means necessary.”.
Behind the film is director Gabriela Cowperthwaite. She has primarily made documentaries before, and her CV includes the acclaimed “Blackfish”. In the lead role, we see Oscar winner Ariana DeBose, who is currently heard in Disney’s “Wish”.
The American cinema premiere for “I.S.S.” is on January 19.
