But how about a classic car chase? Yes, they managed to include those too. But of course, with higher stakes and more unpredictability than the audience may be accustomed to.

Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie offer a sneak peek at some intense scenes on the streets of Rome. Agent Ethan Hunt has, for unknown reasons, been handcuffed to Grace (Hayley Atwell). Now, he must drive with one hand and navigate the congested Italian streets with both police and villains in hot pursuit. Why not in a bright yellow vintage Fiat?

Wait, didn’t “Fast X” do something similar recently? A thrilling car chase in Rome, and even with a rolling giant bomb? All credit to Vin Diesel and his family, but for Tom, using special effects was not an option. All the car scenes are said to be real, and it’s really him behind the wheel. Of course.
