Apple has released a teaser for Martin Scorsese’s upcoming film Killers of the Flower Moon, based on David Grann’s novel Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI, published in 2017.
The film is set in the 1920s and revolves around a series of murders that plague the Osage Native American tribe after significant oil deposits are discovered on their land.
Concurrently, a love story unfolds between one of the tribe’s members (Lily Gladstone) and the nephew (Leonardo DiCaprio) of the film’s antagonist (Robert De Niro). Jesse Plemons portrays FBI agent Tom White, who investigates the murders of the Osage tribe members.
Killers of the Flower Moon will be released in theaters on October 20th and will subsequently be available for streaming on Apple TV+.
