Microsoft has now started rolling out an update to its Phone Link app that enables iPhone users to connect their device to Windows 11 computers. Previously, it has been possible to connect Android phones to Windows 11 via Phone Link, and now that support is coming to iPhones running iOS 14 or higher.

Microsoft's Phone Link gets support for iOS

When connecting an iPhone to Windows 11 via Phone Link, it will be possible to send iMessages (Messages/SMS) from the iPhone from one’s computer. Initially, however, it will not be possible to send pictures or video clips in these messages, and the group messaging feature in iMessage is also not available.

Microsoft plans to have rolled out the new iOS support in Phone Link to all Windows 11 users sometime in the middle of next month.
