The premiere of the updated Tesla Model 3, internally known as Project Highland, is approaching.
Fresh rumors suggest that when the car is launched, it will be 13 percent cheaper than the model it replaces. This would potentially result in a starting price of under $35,000 in the USA.
The update is expected to feature a Lithium Manganese Iron Phosphate battery pack from CATL with a capacity of 66 kWh, which could contribute to the lower price tag. According to reports, the car is soon to begin pre-series production at the Gigafactory in Shanghai, and there’s talk of a launch in October.
