Apple’s AirTags will become more useful in iOS 17. In the upcoming update, you will be able to share them and other Find My items with up to five other people, the company wrote in a press release. Perfect for things like car keys that multiple people in a family may want to find.
“An AirTag can be shared with up to five other people, so friends and family members can keep track of items in Find My. Everyone in the group can see where the item is, play a sound, and use Precision Finding to determine exactly where an AirTag is when it’s nearby. It also works with all other Find My network accessories,” Apple writes.
The feature is included in iOS 17, which will be released later this year.
