During WWDC last year, Apple introduced a new type of security update for iOS, macOS, and iPadOS.

Now, almost a year later, the company is rolling out the first “rapid security response” for all platforms. The advantage of these updates is that they only require a regular restart of the device from the user’s side, instead of the same update process that we usually expect on Apple’s operating systems.

The new updates are iOS 16.4.1 (a), iPadOS 16.4.1 (a), and macOS 13.3.1 (a). As usual, you can find the updates in Settings on each operating system.
