Next month, it is believed that Google will unveil its first foldable device, the Google Fold, during their I/O event. Earlier this year, some renders of the phone were leaked, but now it seems that someone has managed to get hold of a live device.
As you can see in the clip below, there is nothing on the actual device that indicates that it is from Google, but the source, Kuba Wojciechowski, has been reliable in the past when it comes to leaks, so there is probably no reason to be too suspicious here.
When the device is officially presented, we can expect a phone with a 5.8-inch screen that opens like a book to a 7.6-inch screen. The phone is said to be powered by the company’s latest Tensor G2 chip and will cost around $1700. It will also have a larger battery than its competitor, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold, which is said to last for 24 hours under normal use, or 72 hours in power-saving mode. It will weigh 283 grams, which is 20 grams more than the Z Fold 4.
Google I/O starts on May 10th of this year.
