Google no longer releases statistics on which Android versions are most popular each month, but it can still be interesting to see how the latest version is doing when Google does release statistics.
The last time we heard about Android 13, which is the latest version, the operating system was only installed on 5 percent of all Android phones. Now, about three months later, that number has risen to 12.1 percent instead. Android 13 was released eight months ago, and compared to Android 12, things are actually going well; it took a year for Android 12 to reach 13.3 percent.
The most popular version of Android is Android 11, which was released in 2020. It runs on 23.5 percent of all Android phones. Android 12 and 12L combined have a usage rate of 16.5 percent.
