Blizzard is now introducing something called “Classic Hardcore” to World of Warcraft, which will be played on special servers dedicated to it.

World of Warcraft Classic Hardcore

In hardcore mode, if a player’s character is killed, it will be permanently dead. There will be no way to resurrect the character, but it will remain as a ghost, allowing the player to continue interacting with others they have encountered during the game.

To prevent players from accidentally killing their own characters or others’ characters, there are some new rules and features in place, which you can read more about in the blog post at the link below.

WoW’s hardcore servers will begin public testing on June 29th and will become widely available by the end of summer.
