More information continues to leak about ASUS’ handheld gaming device, the ROG Ally. Now, the price of the cheapest version of the game console has also surfaced, and it is said to land at $599.
The cheaper version of ROG Ally will run AMD’s recently introduced Ryzen Z1, have 16GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. This can be compared to the more expensive version, which will have Ryzen Z1 Extreme, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage. Price information was leaked last week, and it was said that the price would be $699.
The leaked prices of ROG Ally can be compared to Valve’s Steam Deck, where the 256GB version costs $530, while the 512GB version costs $650. Valve also sells a version of Steam Deck with 64GB of storage, which costs $399.
On May 11, ASUS will hold a presentation of ROG Ally, and then we will probably find out exactly how ROG Ally compares in price to Steam Deck and other competitors in the handheld PC market.
