“ARC Raiders,” which was announced at The Game Awards 2021, is a sci-fi third-person shooter where you encounter AI robot enemies and other players in the pursuit of the remaining resources. As a Raider, your task is to protect and fight for the survivors after they have relocated to the underground colony of Speranza, while machines ravage the Earth’s surface.

The survivors need vital supplies, and it is our role as players to make our way to the surface and collect them. It is still unclear whether the game takes place in a futuristic version of Earth or on a distant planet in space, but more details will likely be revealed as we approach the launch.

The newly formed Swedish studio embraces its Swedish identity by featuring one of Robyn’s biggest hits, “Dancing On My Own,” as the soundtrack for its trailer—a fun and unexpected choice for a science fiction game.

The debut game from Embark Studios has faced multiple delays, but now it finally seems to be on the right track, and with key personnel from “Battlefield” and “Mirror’s Edge,” expectations are naturally sky-high.

“ARC Raiders” is expected to be released in early 2024 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. If you’re as excited as we are for “ARC Raiders,” don’t miss the opportunity to sign up for the beta on Steam.com, starting on June 29th.
