Netflix announced yesterday that it will start testing game streaming for its subscribers, expanding its gaming efforts that began with mobile games two years ago.
Initially, only a small number of subscribers in the UK and Canada will have access to Netflix’s cloud gaming initiative. These subscribers will have the opportunity to stream the games Oxenfree and Molehew’s Mining Adventure to their TV sets and computer web browsers.
An app that surfaced on the App Store last week will be used to control the games.
There is currently no information available about whether or when Netflix plans to release games to users in other markets or when it intends to add more games to its streaming gaming initiative.
