Microsoft announced today that they will be closing down the digital game store for the Xbox 360 after July of next year. Additionally, DLC and other media-related products will no longer be available for purchase after the specified date, which is July 29, 2024. Microsoft’s TV and movie app will also cease to function on the Xbox 360 around the same time.

The games you have already purchased will, of course, remain playable, but it will not be possible to buy any new digital games from them via the Xbox 360 console. Backward-compatible games will still be available for purchase through the stores on the modern consoles.
