The reboot of the fighting game Killer Instinct was released on Xbox One in November 2013. This means the game is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.
The game was relatively well-received, but we haven’t seen a sequel as Microsoft (according to their own statements) hasn’t been able to find a developer willing to take on the project.
Nevertheless, as the game reaches its 10-year milestone, Iron Galaxy is celebrating with a patch. The patch includes some balance adjustments, improved matchmaking, and support for 4K on Series X/S. This also raises hopes among all Killer Instinct fans that Iron Galaxy might consider developing a sequel as well.
