Saber Interactive has allowed several gaming media outlets to playtest Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 during the ongoing Gamescom event.
In the video here, you can see what IGN’s reviewer Matt Purslow has to say about the upcoming sci-fi game. In the video, we get to see Purslow mowing down Tyranids left and right while explaining how this action heals his armor. He also talks a bit about the weapons available in the game and shares his hopes for the game’s development once it’s released. Finally, he states:
I’ve been waiting for Space Marine 2 for over a decade. For 40k fans, it’s a pretty big deal. It’s a big deal for Games Workshop, too; the latest edition of tabletop Warhammer 40,000 is also focused on the war between the Space Marines and Tyranids. This game is at the very centre of the universe. But I think that faith may be rewarded. I really like what I’ve seen so far; a solid balance between the simple linear shooters of yesteryear and the complex melee fighters of today.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will be released for Playstation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC sometime later this year.
