The latest Mortal Kombat movie was, as we know, a bit of a reboot for the film version of the game series. The first movie had many familiar faces from the games, but one character was conspicuous by his absence, namely Johnny Cage.
He was supposed to appear in the second movie, but who would play him was highly unclear. But now it seems more or less certain that it will be Karl Urban who will take on the role. Karl is likely to fit well as Johnny Cage as he is quite brilliant at playing an overly pompous jerk. It is unclear when this sequel will be released, but we know it will be directed by Simon McQuoid, who also directed the previous film.
