Google has started rolling out a Fuchsia-based update to the second generation Nest Hub, which was released in 2021. The operating system, which is not based on Linux but is fully developed by Google, has previously been rolled out to the first Nest Hub and Nest Hub Max.

Despite the change in operating system, as a user, you are unlikely to notice any difference at all, as it looks and functions more or less the same as before. To see if your smart screen has received the update, check under “Technical information” in the settings on your device.
