Just under a year ago, Hyundai unveiled an automatic charging robot for electric cars. Now they are showing how the robot works when it charges a car.
When the car is parked, the robot starts talking to it, and a built-in camera makes sure everything is in the right place before the charging port is opened. Then the robot extends its arm, plugs in the charging cable, and waits patiently until the charging is complete before backing up to its place.
The robot, called ACR, will be exhibited at Hyundai’s booth at this year’s Seoul Mobility Show.
