The Australian audio company Røde is now releasing its latest wireless microphone system called Wireless Pro.
The system is said to be “the most powerful ever created by Røde.” Wireless Pro is a compact dual-channel wireless microphone that utilizes Røde’s 2.4 GHz digital transmission with 128-bit encryption. This enables audio transmission of up to 260 meters in clear line of sight. The system also features a recording function with 32 GB of internal memory, meaning that the audio is locally stored and remains unaffected even if there’s an interruption in the wireless transmission.
The microphones also use “intelligent algorithms” to automatically control the audio levels and ensure a smooth and balanced audio output while reducing the risk of clipping. The system also includes a safety channel that provides flawless sound during camera recording.
The transmitter can be used as a standalone microphone or via a lockable 3.5mm connection. The transmitters and receiver can be charged via USB-C and offer a battery life of up to seven hours. The microphones can be charged while being used.
Røde Wireless Pro is priced at $399 and includes a charging case, two Røde Lavalier II microphones, cables, MagClip Go magnetic mounting clips, and an accessory case.
