There have been some rumors circulating about the next version of AirPods. Among other things, it is said that the next version of Apple’s headphones will have a built-in sensor that can measure the user’s temperature. Journalist Marc Gurman has been in contact with sources who claim this.
If AirPods were equipped with a temperature sensor, Apple could use the data in their health apps and even notify the user if they were possibly getting sick. Furthermore, Gurman states that Apple is also looking into having their headphones classified as hearing aids in the USA.
