Earlier today, ESA launched its Juice spacecraft from Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana. The plan was for Juice (Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer) to leave Earth yesterday, but the launch had to be canceled due to bad weather.
Today, however, things went better, and Juice took off from Europe’s Spaceport on board an Ariane 5 rocket. It will now take Juice about eight years to reach Jupiter, where the spacecraft will explore some of the planet’s largest moons.
