A consortium led by the French space company HyPrSpace has received a grant of 35 million euros, the majority of which comes from the French state, to develop a rocket that will be named “Baguette One”, reports European Spaceflight.
Baguette One is a smaller rocket intended to deploy satellites up to 300 kg into Earth’s orbit. It is a single-stage rocket that will be about seven meters tall. HyPrSpace also plans to build larger rockets with heights of 11 and 16 meters in the future.
Sometime in 2026, HyPrSpace hopes to be able to send its first Baguette One into space.
