Super Tilt Bro. is an upcoming game developed for Nintendo’s NES console, the classic console that was released 40 years ago. However, the game comes with a modern twist as the developers have built a wifi receiver into the game cartridge, which makes it possible to play online matches against other Super Tilt Bro. players.
There is also the option to download an emulation of the game to a computer if you do not have an NES or prefer to play on a slightly more modern machine. Gameplay-wise, the game resembles a pixel version of Super Smash Bros. Due to Nintendo’s copyright, however, the developers have had to use characters in the game that are not as well known as those that appear in Super Smash Bros. In addition to online matches, it should be possible to fight locally, and there is also a story mode for solo players.
Super Tilt Bro. is now being sold via a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter. The version for NES costs 55 euros, and for 15 euros, you can get the version that can be emulated on other hardware. Deliveries of the game are set to begin in April 2024. Above is an introduction video to Super Tilt Bro.
