Antstream Arcade has been released for Xbox One and Xbox Series consoles, offering a service that allows you to stream a retro library that currently includes 1,300 titles. It will cost you around $30 per year or $80 for a lifetime subscription.
Among the supported formats, you’ll find Amiga, arcade, C64, SNES, and Mega Drive. The full list (which is continuously growing) is challenging to summarize smoothly, but some titles include Earthworm Jim, Mortal Kombat, Super Star Wars, 40 Winks, Zombies Ate My Neighbors, and Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis.
New games will be regularly added, along with new challenges and tournaments. Note that not all PC games are available, and separate accounts are required – which could be a deal-breaker.
Mike Rouse, Antstream’s studio head, told Xbox Expansion Pass that we largely have Phil Spencer to thank for the new Xbox app. He is passionate about preserving old games.
