Yesterday, Sony held a new State of Play where they showcased a bunch of games that are in development for the PlayStation platform.
The most notable one was probably a longer presentation of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which you can see in the clip above. It looks like it will be more like Marvel’s Avengers, Anthem, and Gotham Knights than Rocksteady Studios’ Arkham games.
Another game they showed off was The Foglands, which is in development for PlayStation VR2 and Oculus Quest 2.
Green Hell VR is also an upcoming PlayStation VR2 game where you’ll try to survive in a deadly jungle.
The VR party didn’t end there, as they also showed off Synapse, which is an action game where you’ll shoot down a bunch of faceless enemies in abstract environments.
In Journey to Foundation, you play as a spy investigating shady things happening on the edge of a space empire. The game is in development for PlayStation VR2, but the release date is unclear.
Before Your Eyes is coming to PlayStation VR2 on March 10, and in this game, you play as a dead person going through your memories on your way to the afterlife. Every time you blink in the game, the game scene will change.
Destiny 2: Lightfall is coming out next week, and to celebrate, a new trailer for the expansion was released.
Charming Tchia got a new trailer that confirms, among other things, that the game will be released on March 21 and that it will be available on PlayStation Plus Extra that day.
Speaking of PlayStation Plus, it was announced that the basic level of the service will receive Battlefield 2042, Minecraft Dungeons, and Code Vein next month. While the Extra level will soon receive Ghostwire Tokyo, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, Immortals Fenyx Rising, and Rainbow Six Extraction.
Humanity is a new game from Enhanced (Rez Infinite, Tetris Effect: Connected) and it’s an action puzzle game where you control a dog that herds humans around surreal environments. The game will also be playable with PS VR and PS VR2 when it releases in May. A demo for the game is available for download today.
Goodbye Volcano High is a visual novel with music game elements and a new trailer for the game can be seen below.
Naruto X Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections is simply more Ultimate Ninja Storm and is set to be released sometime later this year.
Baldur’s Gate III will be released on PlayStation 5 on August 31, so if that’s something you’re looking forward to, you can be happy today.
Wayfinder is an online action-RPG from Airship Syndicate. Early Access will start in May for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
Promising Street Fighter 6 got a new trailer showcasing how Zangief will look in the game as well as the new character Lily. The game is set to be released on June 2.
The new version of Resident Evil 4 was also shown off. It was confirmed, among other things, that the game will receive a demo before release and that the game will be playable with PlayStation VR2, but not until sometime after its release on March 24.
