EA has decided to remove a number of older Battlefield games from digital game stores. The games Battlefield 1943 and Bad Company 1 and 2 will be removed from places like the PlayStation Store and Xbox Live on April 28.
The games’ online servers will also be shut down, but not until December 8. Now, there aren’t too many people playing these games anymore, but the multiplayer mode in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 was really good, so it’s a bit of a shame for those who still want to play it online.
The offline mode in Bad Company games will of course still be playable, but then it’s important to make sure to get the game before it’s removed on April 28th.
While these titles hold a special place in our heart, we’re now looking forward to creating new memories alongside you as we shift our focus towards our current and future Battlefield experiences.
