Netflix confirms a second season of the popular teen drama “XO, Kitty”. The series began as a spinoff of the “To All the Boys” films and debuted on the streaming platform less than a month ago. It was watched for 72 million hours during the first week and made it to the top 10 list in a total of 90 countries.
Anna Cathcart returns in the lead role as teenage matchmaker Kitty. And Jenny Han, the author of the books and one of the series’ showrunners, tells Tudum about all the romantic entanglements that await:
“I write so many romantic stories about young people. Everyone wants the ‘happily ever after’ and to feel like two people are together forever — but they are really young,” Han told Tudum in March. “What was exciting about Kitty’s story [is] that it shows you can really explore different people for different times of your life.”
The English-language series “XO, Kitty” takes place in Seoul. 10 half-hour episodes are now available for streaming on Netflix. The premiere date for season 2 is yet to be announced.
