Nicole Kidman, Rachel Zegler, and Javier Bardem are among the voices in the animated film Spellbound. Streaming premiere in 2024. Apple TV+ has released a first look image from Spellbound – a new animated adventure featuring a star-studded cast.
Rachel Zegler, John Lithgow, Jennifer Lewis, Nathan Lane, Nicole Kidman, Javier Bardem, and Tituss Burgess lend their voices to this musical tale. The story follows Princess Ellian, who must rule the kingdom on her own after a terrible enchantment turns the king and queen into monsters.
Spellbound is produced by Apple Original Films and Skydance Animation, directed by Vicky Jenson (Shrek, Shark Tale). Providing the film’s music is Disney veteran Alan Menken, known for The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and more.
“This is, at its heart, a story about a family for everyone in the family,” Jenson said of Spellbound. “I have a lot of experience storytelling with a modern take on a fairy tale, but this is a fairy tale take on a very modern story.” said the director to THR.
The film will come to Apple TV+ in 2024.
