Frozen 2 became one of the world’s most successful animated films when it was released in 2019. Naturally, a sequel is in the works, and in February, Disney CEO Bob Iger confirmed the production plans.

Now we can begin speculating about the expected premiere. Currently, Disney has set a date for an untitled animated film in November 2025, according to Coming Soon. If this is Frozen 3, it would mean that the film is released six years after Frozen 2, which itself was released six years after the first film.

These are still speculations, and it could very well be Toy Story 5 or the sequel to Zootopia—both of which were announced around the same time. In Frozen 3, it is expected that actors Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Josh Gad, and Jonathan Groff will return from the previous films.

“I, who have zero authority, want to officially announce… ‘Frozen 3,'” said Kristen Bell in an interview on The Tonight Show, before the film was actually confirmed. So it sounds like Kristen Bell also wants to return to the Frozen world.

Afterwards, Idina Menzel, who plays Elsa, made similar statements and “confirmed” a fourth and fifth film in the series. We may not get that many sequels, but at least it seems like the main characters want to make more films.
